Leadership Board Report for August 2023
As leaders of the church members of the leadership board continue to work on their own spiritual disciplines. Some of the way in which work on our spiritual growth formation are the practice of daily prayer, Bible reading, weekly worship, serving others, and tithing/giving. This practice of accountably help us to grow our faith.
The Endowment team is working on gift acceptance policy and has undertaken a review of the monies available and potentially available to the Endowment Fund. They are looking at ways to better invest the funds to keep them going in perpetuity.
We want to be able to give everyone an opportunity to participate in the Opportunity EXPO so we have scheduled several dates. Come and find out about our church ministries, programs, and goals and interact with other members. Mark your calendar to attend one.
- Sunday Sept. 10: In-person at 11:15 after the worship service
- Wednesday Sept. 21st: online zoom experience at 6:30 pm
- Sunday Sept. 24th: In-person at 5:00 pm during our programing night event
Our church charge conference will be held on Saturday, October 28th, at 11 a.m. here at First United Methodist Church. White Rock United Methodist church will be our guests.
