Grateful people are happy people, research shows. But how grateful are you? To find out—and discover steps for promoting even more gratitude in your life—take this GRATITUDE QUIZ, (provided by UMC) which is based on a scale developed by psychologists Mitchel Adler and Nancy Fagley.  When you’re done, you’ll get your gratitude score, learn more about the benefits of gratitude, and find resources for cultivating more gratitude in your life.

God is good all the time.  All the time God is good.  We live in a world of abundance because our God is abundant.  God’s generosity is evident in the beauty of creation and the abundance of God’s love and grace in Jesus Christ.  We praise God every day in our prayers and every Sunday in our corporate worship.  Every ministry of our Church is based on the abundant grace of God.  We Connect one another and the community to Christ, we Grow to maturity in Christ, we Care for one another in Christian community, and we Send one another in ministry and mission.

We ask that you prayerfully consider your pledge for 2018 over the next few weeks as we celebrate God’s Vision. It is the intent of the Finance Committee to establish the budget for 2018 based on your pledge cards and overall giving from prior history.

Also, if you are a Los Alamos National Laboratory employee you may want to consider providing your tithe through the United Way Campaign in the future. Each year LANS LLC considers matching a portion of your contributions.  You must specify FUMC-LA as a recipient when you complete your donation form online.  Gifts through LANS in 2017 provided an additional $10K to support our ministry within the church and into the community, state, and greater regions of world.
